The beautiful free-form gunite pool shown above utilizes a swim-out (right side) in place of a stainless steel ladder. This pool also features safety grip coping around the pool's top perimeter and stamped concrete decking.

This elaborate multilevel installation has a year-round spa at the upper level (foreground) with a separate filtration and heating system. Starting on the left side of the spa there is a trough or waterway which winds down through several waterfalls and cascades into a retention “pond” (middle right), which then empties into the pool over three spillways. This gives the illusion that the water is flowing from the spa as it twists and cascades down to the pool below. This pool also features an oversized swim-out (middle left) and a free-form shape that invisibly incorporates a diagonal lap swimming lane through the pool. For additional effect a vanishing, or negative edge (middle center), gives the illusion of the pool overflowing into a hidden trough below.
